Roobet Privacy Policy
Who Controls Your Data
We are Roobet, operated by Raw Entertainment Ltd, the data controller responsible for the personal information you share with us. Our platform runs under licence OGL/2024/687/0427, issued by the Government of Curaçao and overseen by the Curaçao Gaming Control Board.
This policy explains, in plain terms, what we gather and why. It applies to every player aged 19 or older who registers, deposits or plays with us from Canada. Read it alongside our Terms and Conditions. Questions? Reach us through the contact page at any time.
Who We Share Information With
We never sell your personal data. Full stop. We do share limited information with trusted partners who help us operate, and only for the purposes set out here.
- Payment and crypto processors — to settle deposits and withdrawals through Interac, cards, e-wallets and blockchain networks.
- KYC and identity providers — to verify documents before larger payouts.
- Analytics and anti-fraud services — to keep the site stable and secure.
- Game studios — such as Evolution Gaming and Pragmatic Play, where technically needed to deliver titles.
- Regulators and authorities — when the law or our licence requires disclosure.
Each partner is bound to protect your data and use it strictly for the agreed task.
Our Legal Grounds for Processing
Every use of your data rests on a lawful basis. Four apply most often. First, performance of our contract with you — we cannot host your account otherwise. Second, legal obligation, which covers anti-money-laundering and age verification. Third, legitimate interests such as fraud prevention and improving the platform. Fourth, consent, which governs optional marketing and certain cookies.
Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it whenever you like. That will not undo processing already carried out lawfully before your change of mind.
Your Rights and How to Use Them
You hold real control over your information. You can ask us to:
- access a copy of the data we store;
- correct anything inaccurate or out of date;
- erase records where no legal duty requires us to keep them;
- port your data to another provider in a usable format;
- object to or restrict certain processing, including marketing.
To exercise any right, message us via the contact page. We respond within a reasonable period and may first confirm your identity. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you may complain to the relevant data-protection authority in the licence jurisdiction.
Gambling should stay fun. If play stops feeling that way, visit our responsible gambling page, call ConnexOntario on 1-866-531-2600, or see the Canadian help resources at responsiblegambling.org.
How Long We Keep It
We hold your records for as long as your account stays active, then afterwards only as the law demands. Financial and verification data is typically retained for several years to satisfy anti-money-laundering rules in the licensing jurisdiction. Once no obligation remains, we delete or anonymise what we hold. Dormant accounts are reviewed and cleared on a rolling schedule.
What We Collect and the Reasons Behind It
We only ask for what the service genuinely needs. The categories below show the data we handle and the purpose of each.
Category | Examples | Why we need it |
|---|---|---|
Identity | Name, date of birth, government ID | Confirming you are 19+ and meeting KYC obligations |
Contact | Email, phone, mailing address | Account messages and support |
Financial | Deposits, withdrawals, wallet addresses, card details | Processing payments and spotting fraud |
Gameplay | Bets placed, sessions, bonus history | Running your account and honouring rewards |
Technical | IP address, device, browser | Security, location checks and site performance |
Some fields are mandatory. Without valid identity and payment data, we simply cannot open an account or release funds.
